Police Searching for Thieves Who Lifted $5,400 in Jewelry, Sunglasses
A man and woman hit up the same jewelry store twice at 353 Bleecker Street in the heart of the West Village.

Police have put out a request for the public's help in finding two suspects who have ripped off $5,410 in jewelry and sunglasses in the West Village and Little Italy.
The man and woman have hit two different locations, two in one day and then the same jewelry store again two months later. The first burglaries occurred on March 19 at Alexis Bittar Jewelry in the West Village, when the couple distracted the clerks and made off with $600 in assorted items. They hit the Sunglass Hut on 496 Broadway 40 minutes later, where they stole six pairs of sunglasses worth $2,585 in total.
They were quiet until May, when they returned to Alexis Bittar Jewelry and made off with two diamond rings worth $2,225 total.

The woman is described as Hispanic in her 30s, 5-foot-3 and 170 pounds with a ponytail. The man is also described as Hispanic, in his 40s and 5-foot-8 and 240 pounds.
Police released a video of the suspects from the second time they robbed Alexis Bittar Jewelry.
