WEST VILLAGE, NY — Owners of a successful West Village fish and chips eatery are beginning their next act with plans to open a modern English bistro named Lord's in Greenwich Village, as first reported by Eater NY.

Dame, an English seafood restaurant at 87 MacDougal St., opened in January 2021 with immediate buzz, and was quickly named one of the best new restaurants in the city.

Following this success, its owners Ed Szymanski and Patricia Howard are opening a new restaurant called Lord's on Oct. 3 at 506 Laguardia Pl., between West Houston and Bleeker streets, reported Eater NY.

"Lord’s is the grown-up sequel from Patricia Howard and Ed Szymanski of Dame where a nose-to-tail ethos pervades," reads a message on the restaurant's RESY page. "The duo dives deep into housemade charcuterie, off-kilter English dishes, and bistro classics with the same playfulness and attention to detail that made Dame a runaway hit."

The menu will include dishes such as meat pies, pig' head terrine, braised tripe, grilled mushroom kebab, steamed clams, and more. There is also an extensive cocktail list.
