Purse Snatchers Grab Woman's Bag On 14th Street, Police Say
Two men forcibly removed a woman's bag as she was walking in Greenwich Village, according to police.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Two men robbed a woman near Union Square earlier in January, forcibly taking her purse from her as she walked along 14th Street, police said.
Police are still searching for the robbers, who stole from the 25-year-old woman on Jan. 3, according to authorities.
Police say the two men came up behind the woman, who was walking in front of 2 W. 14th St., and forcibly grabbed her purse before running away.

Investigators later determined that the men tried to get cash from an ATM using the woman's bank cards, the NYPD said.
The woman was not seriously injured during the robbery, authorities said.

Both men are believed to be in their early 20s. One of the robbers was spotted wearing a sweatshirt from Syracuse University, according to surveillance footage and photos released by police. Officers are still looking for both men.
