Robber Swipes $1K In Nail Polish From West Village Salon: NYPD
Video shows the crook sneaking into a swanky Christopher Street salon.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — Call him the beauty bandit.
A robber made off with $1,000 worth of nail polish from a West Village salon, police said.
Video shows the man creeping into Salon de Oasis at 107 Christopher Street on Oct. 23 at 2:30 a.m. After stuffing bags full of nail polish, the man bolted out of the shop, said police.

Two weeks later, he returned to the neighborhood but this time hit a restaurant.
The thief broke into an office at La Contenta Oeste at 78 W. 11th Street on Nov. 6 at about 4:17 p.m. by removing the air conditioner and climbing inside, authorities said.

He grabbed a camera and fled the Mexican restaurant.
Police describe the man as 40 to 45-years-old and said he was last seen wearing dark framed glasses, a light-colored hat and a long, light-colored jacket.
