SEE IT: Bandit Beats Two Elderly West Village Shoe Store Workers
The robber attacked the seniors at Reno Fashion in the West Village, striking one worker with glass jars and a ceramic pot, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A malicious mugger bashed a Lower East Side liquor store clerk with wine bottles and then brutally beat two elderly employees at a West Village shoe store Sunday, police said.
The bandit, who donned a bright orange tank top, walked into Seward Park Liquors on Ludlow Street near Grand Street at 12:45 p.m. and grabbed a bottle of wine, threatening to strike the 41-year-old clerk unless he coughed up cash from the register, police said.
When the employee refused and tried to flee, the man rocketed the bottle at him — striking the clerk — and then menaced him with another bottle of booze. The clerk managed to run out of the store and the bandit returned to the register, forcing the draw open and swiping $200 before leaving south on Ludlow Street, police said.

Just over an hour later, the suspect entered Reno Fashion on LaGuardia Place near West Houston Street in the West Village. This time the brightly colored bandit swapped his orange tank top for a T-shirt, video shows. He approached the two workers and began attacking a 66-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman, punching and kicking the seniors.
The vicious robber continued his rampage by smashing several glass jars and a large ceramic pot over the man's head. Both workers suffered several cuts to their head and were rushed to Bellevue Hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.
