Shooting In Washington Square Park Injures 1
A man was shot in the park Friday morning.

WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK, MANHATTAN — A man was shot in the leg inside of Washington Square Park early Friday morning, police said.
Police responded to the park around 5:15 a.m. for a call of shots fired, a department spokesman told Patch. Officers found a 38-year-old man who had been shot in the leg, police said.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said. Police didn't immediately have information on where in the park he was found.
