Subway Robber Grabs Man's Wallet As He Enters The Turnstile: NYPD
The robber then punched the man in the face after the man chased after him in Greenwich Village, police said.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A subway robber grabbed a man's wallet as he was trying to swipe through the turnstile on Monday and then punched the man in the face when the man ran after him, police said.
Officers are still searching for the robber, who got off with $270 in cash, according to police.
The NYPD said that a 33-year-old man was buying a new Metrocard inside the West 4th Street station on Monday at about 5:20 p.m. When the man went to swipe his card through the turnstile, the robber grabbed his wallet from his hand and ran out of the station, police said.

The 33-year-old chased after the robber and confronted him outside the subway, before the robber punched him in the face, according to authorities.
The robber took $270 in cash from the man's wallet as he ran from the subway entrance before dropping the wallet to the ground, police said.

Officers are still searching for the West 4th Street robber, and released surveillance photos of him on Wednesday.
