Thieves Use Debit Card Info To Buy Fancy Hats, Lingerie: Police
Two thieves used stolen debit card information to go on a high-end shopping spree in the West Village, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Two men used stolen debit card information to buy more than $2,000 worth of fancy clothes at West Village boutiques, including high-end lingerie and hat shops, police said.
Police are still searching for the two men, who went on a Village shopping spree on Dec. 29 between 6 and 7:30 p.m., authorities said.
Police say the men acquired another person's debit card info and stopped by three pricey Village shops. The shopaholics bought $584 worth of merchandise at the Goorin Bros. Hat Shop, 337 Bleecker St., and spent $803 at Journelle, a lingerie shop at 125 Mercer St., according to the NYPD.

The men finished their shopping trip at the clothing store Gant, 353 Bleecker St., where they spent $841. In total, police say they spent $2,228 using the debit card information.
Police say both men are in their twenties and are asking for the public'c helping in identifying and locating them.
