Three Thieves Punch Man, Girl In Attempted Subway Rob: NYPD
Police said the June robbery attempt took place at the Sixth Avenue subway station in the middle of the afternoon.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Three people are being sought by police following an attempted robbery that left two teens punched inside a subway station in June, officials said.
On June 11, a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man were exiting the Sixth Avenue subway station on 14th Street at about 4 p.m., when three strangers came up to them and started punching the pair, police said.
The violent trio then tried to rob the teens, but were unsuccessful, officials said.

All three would-be robbers fled the station and the two teens refused medical treatment at the scene, according to police.
Officials released images of people they claim are connected to the incident and described the three men as all between five foot three and six inches tall, one of whom had a mustache.
