Two Brawlers Mug A Teenager In Hudson River Park, Police Said

The muggers shoved the 18-year-old to the ground, beat him and stole his backpack and cell phone.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Two muggers knocked an 18-year-old to the ground, beat him and swiped his cell phone and backpack in the West Village on June 16, police said Tuesday.

Police are searching for the two brawlers who approached the teenager inside Hudson River Park near West Houston Street at 5:35 a.m. The robbers shoved the victim to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him before fleeing with the victim's belongings, police said.

The attackers are both described at 16-18-years-old. One man was last seen wearing a black shirt with an orange logo, black pants and a black backpack. The other individual was last seen wearing a black shirt with a green design, blue shorts and white sneakers with a red backpack, police said.
