Watch This Street Artist In Action At A West Village Bike Shop
Brompton Bicycles is inviting New Yorkers to join artist Adam Fujita as part of their artist series showcasing local talent.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Brompton Bicycles is inviting the neighborhood to join popular street artist Adam Fujita Thursday as he brightens the West Village outpost with his signature neon script.
The five-hour session is part of an artist series at the 287 Bleecker Street location aimed at showcasing New York City-based artists and giving art lovers a chance to watch the creative process unfold, said a spokeswoman for Brompton Bicycles.
"I think it’s really unique to see artists actually creating their work, we usually just see the finished product," said Elspeth Huyett, a spokeswoman for the London-based manufacturer of folding bicycles. "This way people can drop by, watch and learn about a new artist."

Come Thursday, street artist Adam Fujita — who is known for his neon murals and has worked with brands including Coach, Shake Shack and Doc Marten — will create an original piece in the store from 2-7 p.m. Onlookers are invited to drop by any time during the session.
The West Village location opened in May and starting in June has highlighted a local artist every month. Each talent comes into the shop and creates a temporary installation, which is on display for the remainder of the month. Each artist also transfers their design onto a Brompton Bicycle they take with them.

In August, the outpost highlighted Shantell Martin's black and white line paintings and plans to keep the artist series running indefinitely.
“It’s definitely something we want to continue for quite a while,” said Huyett. "It's a great opportunity for artists that we don't see an end point for any time soon."
