West Village Bistro Makes 'Best' Brunch List: Report
Longtime favorite Buvette made a recent Best Brunch in New York City list.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — An intimate West Village bistro was named as one of the best brunch spots.
Buvette, a "tiny" bistro at 42 Grove St. made a new list of the best brunch spots in New York City by Eater NY.
Opened in 2011 by neighborhood leviathan chef Jody Williams (I Sodi, Via Carota), the all-day lines are worth it for brunch, Eater writes, "when Croque Madame sandwiches, waffles with creme fraiche, and steamed eggs with salmon are served."

When the roughly 10-table spot opened in 2011, the New York Times called it a "miniaturized version of a true Paris cafe: easygoing but with just the right patina of formality," calling its food "modest luxuries."
In 2017, Buvette also made a best breakfast in New York list from Grub Street, who called their eggs seemingly made "by what almost seems like magic: steamed with an espresso wand."
