The Michelin Guide announced its list of stars for New York City restaurants, with 12 New York City restaurants gaining stars for the first time.

One spot — Israeli hotspot Shmoné — was among those awarded their first star, and seven other held on to their prestigious award from the classic gourmand guidebook.

Hotspot Don Angie lost their star-status this year, joining the ranks of fellow star-crushed entry Carbone, who found themselves in the same boat in 2022.
