West Village Thai Spot Is 'Most Exciting' Opening This Fall: Report

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A pair of industry veterans are behind one of the most anticipated restaurant openings this fall, according to a new list by Eater NY.

Bangkok Supper Club is a new Thai spot meant to evoke sharable plates in a family-style dining setting, according to Eater.

According to the restaurant's website, the food will feature "inventive Thai cuisine inspired by Bangkok's late-night food scene."

On their Instagram account, recent posts show a preview dinner with whole crispy branzino, fried duck egg salad, cocktails with fish eggs and a large, comfortable dining space with lots of light wood accents.

Eater notes that chef Max Wittawat will be "manning a charcoal grill," and will "use it to prepare brined beef tongue, marinated chicken, and other foods that channel Bangkok, where he’s from."

The spot comes from a pair of owners who opened NoHo Thai spot Fish Cheeks in 2016, Jennifer Saesue and Chat Suansilphong, and is set to open Sept. 13.
