Il Laboratorio del Gelato

Location: 56 University Place, Greenwich Village

What to eat: The popular Lower East Side sorbet spot is opening its second location this week, bring its high-end gelato to the West Village. The shop offers dozens of different gelato and sorbet flavors, with new tastes being developed all the time. Flavors include everything from allspice and avocado to celery.

Kellogg’s Cafe

Location: 31 E. 17th St, Union Square

What to eat: Cereal. After a successful run in Times Square as a pop-up cafe, the Kellogg’s Cafe is back, and this time its permanent. The all-cereal cafe opened near Union Square Park this month and is serving every variety of Kellogg’s cereal plus lots of different toppings to add on. The cafe even includes its own Instagram station so you can stage and snap your breakfast creations, if that’s your thing.


DaDong

Location: 3 Bryant Park, Midtown East

What to eat: Roast duck. The new restaurant from the famous Chinese chef DaDong is bringing his signature dish — roast peking duck — to Midtown. The spacious restaurant has two floors plus an outdoor garden which can seat more than 400 diners.

Frankie Portugal

Location: 457 W. 17th St., Meatpacking District

What to drink: Coffee. Frankie Portugal comes from the owners of Artichoke Basille's pizza, the beloved pizza joint. The new coffee spot offers Portuguese coffee and tarts and is located right next to the company's famous pizza spot.
