Woman Groped On D Train In The Village, Police Say

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police are searching for a man who groped a woman as the two rode on a D train in Manhattan, authorities said.

The woman, 29, was traveling on a southbound D train on Dec. 3 at about 2 a.m. Police said that as the train approached the Broadway-Lafayette Street station, an unknown man grabbed the woman's butt from behind.

The woman confronted the man, police said, and snapped a photo of him before getting off the train.

Police released the photo the woman took on Wednesday, and are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating the man.
