2 People Die In Fiery Long Island Crash: Police
1 person was thrown from the vehicle after it crashed into the woods, police say.
MANORVILLE, NY — Two people died in a fiery Manorville crash Saturday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the single-vehicle crash took place near Exit 70 on the eastbound Long Island expressway at around 10:05 p.m.
A 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt left the roadway, crashed into the woods, and caught fire; the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

His identity has not yet been confirmed by police, authorities said.
A passenger was found dead in the vehicle after the fire was extinguished, police said. Their identities are pending confirmation by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examine, police said.
