Bicyclist, 82, Struck On Dune Road In Quogue, Seriously Hurt: PD
The driver stayed at the scene and no charges were filed, police say.
QUOGUE, NY — An 82-year-old bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle and seriously injured on Dune Road in Quogue Monday morning, police said.
According to Quogue Village police, the crash took place at 6:18 a.m. The driver, a 47-year-old man from Bellport, was still at the scene when police arrived; no charges have filed as of this time, authorities said.
The bicyclist, a Westhampton Beach man, sustained serious injuries and received medical attention from Quogue Village police and Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance; he was later airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital by Suffolk County aviation, police said.

New York State police were at the scene; the eastbound lane of Dune Road was closed for a brief period of time during the investigation, police said.
The incident is still under investigation, police said.
