Do You Use Bumper Pads for Your Child's Crib?
The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended not using them.

According to a new recommendation by the American Academy of Pediatrics, bumper pads should not be used in babies' cribs.
CNN reported Tuesday that the American Academy of Pediatrics said bumper pads "do carry a potential risk of suffocation, strangulation, or entrapment because infants lack the motor skills or strength to turn their heads should they roll into something that obstructs their breathing."
It's the first time the group has made a statement specifically on the topic of bumper pads, and CNN said the announcement is part of a new set of sleep guidelines the group has issued regarding safe sleep for babies and the prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
