Hampton Bays Thespians Sharpen Acting Skills
Four theater workshops were offered this summer to members of the Hampton Bats High School Thespian Society.

A series of master classes offered over the summer allowed members of the Hampton Bays High School Thespian Society to sharpen their acting skills.
“We wanted to keep the kids engaged and involved year-round, rather than just in the spring for the musical,” Musical Director Kim Clemensen said.
Classes ran from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the middle school and were taught by professionals and a few Hampton Bays graduates. The four workshops included movement, scene studies, modern dance and theater jazz, as well as audition technique.

“These workshops were very helpful,” junior Saul Rojas said. “As a new actor, I learned how to prepare an audition, as well as some dance and acting techniques.”
