HAMPTON BAYS, NY — One of the East End's most beloved businesses now has a spot in Hamptons Bays: Hampton Coffee Company unveiled its new location on Saturday at 31 Shinnecock Avenue.

The spot was previously the home of Pete’s Green Door and The Hamlet.

The grand opening marks the local family-owned company’s seventh location and features the same popular menu of drinks and food as their other shops.

"In addition to a full menu of hot, iced, and blended espresso drinks and coffees prepared by our baristas, we also feature a large offering of bakery items baked each morning in the café," said Hampton Bays Store Manager Ebens Legros. "Plus a variety of hot breakfast and lunch options, from breakfast wraps and the popular egg sandwich choices to panini and wraps for lunch. There’s always rotating breakfast and lunch specials, as well."

The site Hampton Coffee Company renovated for their Hampton Bays outpost was originally Pete’s Green Door, a very popular farm stand and breakfast and lunch place that was open for years and owned by local Pete Charos, representatives said.

Hampton Coffee Company said they were very proud to team up with Pete to bring HCC to Hampton Bays.

"We have been wanting to open a café in Hampton Bays for more than 10 years," said Jason Belkin, Hampton Coffee Company co-owner. "So many of our customers and team members live here. We were just waiting for the perfect place, and with Pete’s support, we found it."

Keeping it local is very important to HCC, he added. "Did you know that surveys show that for every $1 spent at a local business, 68 cents of it stays right here in the community?" said Belkin. "Being a part of our community is one of the most important parts of our company’s mission statement."

To that end, Saturday’s Grand Opening Party raised money for The Friends of The Hampton Bays Library.

The grand opening party also featured free coffee drinks all day, prizes for everyone who came, and a photo wall.

An iconic Hamptons business since 1994, Hampton Coffee Company is Long Island’s largest independently-owned roaster-retailer.
