Jersey Cops Recover Another Stolen Westhampton Beach Car

The car is the third posh ride found after a string of Hamptons car thefts.

A  luxury car stolen from Dune Road in Westhampton Beach has been recovered by New Jersey cops. It is the third posh ride in a string of Hamptons car thefts found in the Garden State.

According to Westhampton Beach police, the brand-new 2003 Mercedes was found by Jersey cops on June 29 at around 9 p.m.

The location of where the car was found is not being released pending an investigation.

The car was stolen from a driveway on Dune Road on June 11 and had just been delivered by a Brooklyn Mercedes Benz dealer — the keys were left hidden in the car.

The car is one of 9 that have been stolen from East Hampton to West Hampton Dunes this summer.

The latest was a 2013 Mercedes, valued at $93,000, taken from the Ocean Dunes Condos on Dune Road on the evening of July 19. There was a spare key in the car.

Another 2013 Mercedes Benz was also taken from a Dune Road driveway in mid-June, around the same time as two other cars — a 2013 Mercedes Benz from Quogue and Porsche from Westhampton Dunes, which were later recovered in New Jersey.

Last week, in Southampton Village, police said that a black 2013 Mercedes Benz CL55 was taken from a driveway on Pheasant Close East and in East Hampton, a 2012 Range Rover was stolen on June 29 and a 2013 Mercedes Benz GL4 was taken on July 18.
