Letter To The Editor: Couple Thanks Community For Support

Pam and Angelo Mazzola said their yard sale to fund a newborn adoption was a success.

Editor's Note: The following letter to the editor was submitted to Patch by Pam and Angelo Mazzola, who held a weekend yard sale to raise money to fund the adoption of a baby. Read their story here

It's Monday morning after our weekend yard sale.  I would be lying if I said we weren't exhausted and its going to be a very LONG time before we ever host a yard sale again! But what a weekend it was!  The yard sale was a huge success and the community came out to support us.  Many of them shared their own stories of adoptions or simply gave us their blessings and wished us luck.  We couldn't have asked for more.

During the two days, we continued to receive donated items to sell from local people in the area.  We met one person in particular who is also planning a yard sale in a few weeks, to help raise money for her property taxes.  When we heard her story, we decided to donate some of the left over items from our sale to her cause.

I want to thank you for helping to promote our event and thank the caring people in this community for all of their support.  We also couldn't have made this weekend happen without the help of our friends and family.  We can't thank them enough for the long days they put in.

Sincerely,
