HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Hampton Bays students took home a lesson in history recently as they honored President Jimmy Carter, who died at 100 years old on December 29.

In honoring the memory of President Carter, Hampton Bays Elementary School students learned more about his life on Jan. 9. Fourth grade students in Karly Schmitt’s class watched videos and researched important facts about the 39th president.
Second grade students in Kaleigh McLaren’s class studied his contributions to the country.
