Remnants Of Ida To Drench Long Island This Week
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the island. We could see wet weather on three of the next four days.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for the region:
Remnants of tropical cyclone Ida are expected to ride along a frontal boundary and affect the region Wednesday into Thursday morning. A period of moderate to heavy rainfall is becoming more likely for portions of the region. Flooding is a possibility, especially across urban and poor drainage areas. However, there still is some uncertainty as to where the heaviest rain will be.
Ida, currently a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph, slammed into Louisiana Sunday. The entire city of New Orleans was without power Sunday night, CNN reported.
#Ida has made landfall as a destructive Cat 4, but the impacts will stretch far beyond Louisiana. Heavy rain (3-6"+) will extend all the way into the Northeast, with TS conditions (winds, rain, tornadoes) reaching as far as Memphis. Ida will be with us through much of this week! pic.twitter.com/i2PlMwK98P
