Southampton Youth Bureau Marks 'Battle Of The Bands' 20th Anniversary

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — The Southampton Youth Bureau's Battle of the Bands celebrated its 20th anniversary this year — a longtime tradition of music, talent, dedication and fun.

The youth bureau congratulated the winners of the event, which took place Friday at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays: DEKA of Westhampton Beach/Southampton, who placed first; Endless Summar of Hampton Bays/Westhampton Beach, who placed second, and The Atomic Pineapple of Hamptons Bays/Sag Harbor, who took home the third place award.

Winning bands received prizes courtesy of Sam Ash Music Stores, Guitar Center, Next Phase Sound Studio, the Bay Street Theater, Edgewater Restaurant, IHOP, Francesca’s Pizzeria, Splish Splash Water Park, Bounce! Family Entertainment Center, PRS Guitars, Hampton Coffee Company, the North Fork Community Theatre, and the Flanders Northampton Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

"All participating bands were amazing and brought such great energy for this milestone community event," organizers said. "Congratulations to all and thank you to our amazing sponsors who helped make this event a success."
