WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — A popular sushi spot is set to reopen for its second season in Westhampton Beach.

Taylor's Sushi Suite is set to reopen inside Sydney's "Taylor" Made Cuisine, bringing the art and intimacy of the omakase experience to diners.

SimpleVenue, in partnership with Sydney's Gourmet, will reopen Sushi Suite on Friday, May 10 at 32A Mill Road. Guests will enter through a hidden door at Sydney’s where they’ll be given a code to
unlock a keypad. They’ll then head upstairs to a beach-themed sushi counter where they’ll be
served by a private chef.

"For the next 90 minutes, guests will unlock a dining experience like no other as a sushi master skillfully prepares and serves up a 17-course chef's choice omakase extravaganza," a release said.

Guests can pair their feast with a selection of beer, wine and sake. The eight-seat sushi room and counter features teal walls, mounted surf boards, and coastal art.

The venue will be open Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are now live for Taylor’s Sushi Suite on OpenTable.

Sundays at Sushi Suite will include an arts and crafts class with reservations. Depending on
the week, guests can sign up for “Wine Glass Painting,” “Ceramic Sushi Dishes,” “Watercolor
Basics,” “Cigar Rolling,” “Wire Jewelry” and several other courses. Making a reservation on a
Sunday means 60 minutes of a dedicated art class prior the omakase experience.

Sushi Suite is presented by SimpleVenue, an NYC-based hospitality group specializing in micro
restaurants.

With more than 15 years of experience, SimpleVenue brings "an elegant and new-age touch to a classic take on the old school sushi counter," the group said. The Sushi Suite brand created the world's first ever hotel room turned restaurant, where guests check in at the front desk and receive a room key that gives them access to a once-in-a-lifetime, exclusive experience featuring an intimate 4 to 6 seat sushi counter, the group said.

"Guests should come out to expect a fantastic 17-course meal in an intimate environment where they are directly interacting with the chef preparing their food course by course in front of them," said SimpleVenue Founder Michael Sinensky. "To be able to hear a chef describe their food, taste the passion behind it, and see it being made in front of you is a show in and of itself and we want everyone to be able to experience this style of dining."

Guests will feel as if they’ve got their own personal chef creating a slew of small plates and nigiri sushi ranging from succulent botan ebi to prized Hokkaido uni all made from sustainable fish sourced from all over the world, he said.

Each Sushi Suite experience features 17 courses for $150 plus tax and gratuity per person. Sushi Suite can accommodate shellfish allergies and kosher-style restrictions.

Over the last 30 years, Sydney’s “Taylor” Made Cuisine in Westhampton Beach has grown into one of the premier culinary destinations on the East End, with Erin Finley and her husband, David Blydenburgh, expanding their gourmet country market into a full-service restaurant and catering operation.
