- Lisa Finn reports that a Riverhead man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated as the result of a Thanksgiving Eve sobriety checkpoint on Flanders Road. Robert Hamilton, Jr., 57, was arrested and charged with DWI. (Patch)
- Patch explains that an intoxicated Sagaponack man was arrested after a handgun was found in his vehicle and he became combative and assaulted a police officer early Thanksgiving morning. Errol Gene Scott, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; second-degree assault, a felony; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. (Patch)

- Dan's Papers explains that a local brewery in Riverhead, übergeek Brewing Co., has partnered with the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC) to create a winter ale to supports the non-profit organization's mission, helping sea turtles on the East End.
