Town Police Report: Food Bought, Payment Stopped, With Stolen Card

Also this week, a pair of teens are alleged to have broken into an auto salvage yard.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

• Konrad Wroblewski, 19, of Southampton, and a Hampton Bays minor were arrested on May 10 after police said they were trespassing at an auto salvage yard in the middle of the night.  

According to police reports, the duo was found in the fenced in area at JT Auto Salvage in Quiogue around 12:51 a.m., and had no permission to be on the property They were arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.

THEFT OF SERVICES

• Josephine O’Brien, 48, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on May 4 and charged with theft of services, a felony, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor.  

According to police, an investigation showed that O’Brien had used someone else’s credit card without permission multiple times to buy food from Francesca’s restaurant in Hampton Bays. O’Brien allegedly bought the food and cancelled the transactions after she had obtained the food.

DWI

• Kevin Fennell, 52, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on May 11 and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.   

According to police reports, Fennell got in a car crash on County Road 39 near N. Bishops Lane, and police noticed a smell of alcohol on his breath upon arrival. Police said his eyes were glossy, his speech slurred, and he failed several roadside field sobriety tests. He was also cited for failing to use his designated lane.
