Westhampton Beach Seniors Earn National Honors

The seniors are among 34,000 students across the nation to earn the distinction and be recognized for "exceptional academic promise."

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Westhampton Beach High School seniors have made their hometown proud on the national canvas.

Westhampton Beach High School senior Meghan Pomroy was named a semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Pomroy is now among 16,000 students across the nation competing for $28 million in scholarships, the district said.

Additionally, Luke Albert, Nicholas Borusso, Lily Pereyra and Zoey Rudolf have been recognized as Commended Students as a result of their "outstanding" scores on the qualifying exam, the district added.
