Woman Charged With Assault After Hampton Bays Altercation: Police
The incident took place at an Airbnb in Hampton Bays, police say.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — A New Jersey woman was arrested after assaulting someone in Hampton Bays Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on Saturday, a woman arrived at police headquarters to report an assault that she said had occurred that morning at an Airbnb in the area of Palo Alto Drive.
She told authorities that an acquaintance "got physical with her" after a verbal altercation, police said.

The acquaintance, identified as Fatimah A. Ogunjobi, 36, of Bordentown, NJ, reportedly punched the woman in the face then pulled her to the ground, causing physical injury, police said.
On Sunday, Ogunjobi was located and subsequently arrested; she was charged with third-degree assault, police said.

She was transported back to Southampton Town police headquarters, processed and released on an appearance ticket for arraignment at a later date at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
