WEST ISLIP, NY —West Islip Bob's Stores is closing its doors soon and offering a liquidation sale until the store is shuttered for good.
"They're saying we'll be closed in a few weeks, but haven't given us an exact date yet," a Bob's employee told Patch.
Until then, the apparel and footwear chain is offering huge sales up from 30 to 70 percent off in all departments.

"We regret that our financial position necessitated the liquidation of Bob's Stores. Bob's has been a stalwart of our local communities for nearly 70 years and we know our customers remember us as having been there for major moments in their lives," said Dave Barton, President of Bob's Stores. "We remain grateful to our vendors, suppliers, customers and employees for all of their support over the years."
The chain was founded by Robert "Bob" Lapidus in 1954 in Connecticut and was originally called Bob's Surplus.
