Teen's Campaign Against Suicide Goes Viral
Brooke DiPalma is spreading hope to those suffering from depression.
Brooke DiPalma has a simple message for everyone dealing with depression: You're not alone.Â
The 15-year-old West Islip High School sophomore has recently started a campaign that has already gone viral. Â "P.S. I Love You" isn't just the name of a 2007 film, they're the words Brooke emphasizes for others to use to help fight against suicide. Â Â
In April of 2010, Brooke lost her father Joseph, then the WI Chamber of Commerce president, to suicide. Â Now she's extending a hand to those suffering from the same sickness.Â

"The very last words I said to my dad were I love you," DiPalma told News 4 New York. Â "Those simple words can just be so powerful to a person and change their life."
She recently posted a Youtube video that has already reached over 12,000 views, and started a Facebook page dedicated to her cause that has 475 fans. Â

On Wednesday, NBC featured her on a news segment and people are starting to catch on. Â She's rallying up teachers and students throughout New York to wear something purple on February 10th, to support everyone battling self-inflicting thoughts. Â . Â
"I just saw you on T.V. and I watched your video," Alexa Raia wrote on the Facebook wall. Â "Did you see how many views you have ? You are such an inspiration! I am so excited for P.S. I love you Day! Your video was amazing! Oh and P.S. I love you!"Â
