in West Islip is hosting a Water Safety Seminar to offer tips and insight on how to keep kids safe near the water this summer. Guest speakers will include Catherine Coronia, MD, chairman of Graduate Medical Education and Department of Pediatrics, and Maureen Kiernan, the aquatic director of Great South Bay YMCA. The class, which is free of charge and open to the community, will be held on wednesday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at the hospital's Patio Cafe. Participants will be eligble to win raffle prizes.
