The Friends of the West Islip Public Library welcome residents to participate in their annual Holiday Book Fair being held from Thursday, Dec. 1 through Saturday, Dec. 3.  Shoppers will find a wide range of gently used books and other media at tremendous values.  Offers will make for great holiday gifts for all ages.  Friends Members will be able to preview the book fair on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 6-9 p.m.  If you're interested in becoming a member, a Friends representative will be on hand Wednesday evening to take membership applications.  They're open to everyone for $5 a year.  Teen volunteers are also needed to help out with the fair.  Contact Mrs. Fowler at the Adult Reference Desk to sign up and to find out the available days and hours.  Community service credit will be rewarded. Open to students in grades 7-12.
