It's Election Day, which means you should go out and vote!  <a href="https://westislip.patch.com/topics/patchs-2011-voter-guide-7275eaf9" rel="nofollow">But read this before you do</a>.  The was able to defeat Half Hollow Hills East yesterday to advance to the county finals.  They'll take on familiar foe Brentwood on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. School events: All schools are closed today due to superintendent conferences.  The library is hosting a Teen Trivia Contest at 3 p.m.  Teens can test their knowledge is a variety of topics and compete for fun prizes. Did you know that West Islip got a new soccer field?  Read a story today at noon for more details.
