PAWS, the local non-profit education foundation, will be hosting their 5rd Annual Holiday Book Fundraiser this Sunday, Dec. 4 at Barnes & Noble in Bay Shore.Â
The store will donate a portion of all book sales that day to PAWS (Partners Advancing West Islip). Â The event will also include raffles, music and of course, a visit from Santa. Â
Two years ago, the event raised just over $10,000.  A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the foundation's grant-giving program. In the past, the group has assisted in funding the community for SMART Boards, IPod carts, laptops, digital cameras and literacy centers, to name a few.Â
