Results From The Race For NY Assembly District 9

LONG ISLAND, NY — Incumbent Michael Durso appears to lead the race for New York State Assembly District 9.

According to unofficial results from the Suffolk County Board of Elections, Durso has the lead with 27,978 votes (64.46 percent) over his Democratic challenger Steven Dellavecchia's 15,408 (35.50 percent).

The 9th State Assembly District covers portions of Nassau and Suffolk counties, including South Farmingdale, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, West Babylon, Babylon, West Islip, Brightwaters, and portions of Fire Island and the Great South Bay area.
