The West Islip Board of Education will hold their annual reorganizational meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. A regular Board of Ed meeting will immediately follow at 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, Town of Islip will collecting special recyclables including tin and beverage cans, license plates, glass bottles (without the lids), Number 1 and 2 plastic containers that hold soda, detergent, shampoo, milk or water. Seniors can cool off and enjoy ice cream cake on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Town of Islip's Caesar Trunzio Senior center in Brentwood.
