West Islip students looking to hit the ice can try out for the at The Rinx in Hauppauge beginning at 5:40 p.m. There is a one-time tryout fee of $35. The Village Knitter in Babylon will host its weekly "" for aspiring knitters starting at 6:00pm. The rules are simple: "No instruction, just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included." It is not necessary to purchase items at the store, but would be appreciated. PTA will be for next year at 7:30 p.m. A new is starting tonight at at 7 p.m. The group is open to those who have a pacemaker, defibrillator, heart failure or other cardiac issues.
