C.W. Post lacrosse star Eddie Plompen, who's been featured on WI Patch , has recently been nominated along with three other Division II  players as Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Player of the Year, Plompen's expected to have a huge senior season for C.W. Post, a team that was ousted by Mercyhurst 14-4 in last year's NCAA semifinals.  In 2011, Plompen led Post in goals (54), points (72) and was third in assists (18).  <a href="http://www.laxmagazine.com/college_women/DII/2011-12/news/111511_vote_for_lacrosse_magazine_ncaa_division_ii_and_iii_preseason_players_of_the_year#.TsVI4dCnA5k.email" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">VOTE FOR PLOMPEN HERE</a> During his time at West Islip High School, Plompen led the Lions to one county title and two state titles.  He captained the 2008 team and recorded a career-high nine points against Floyd on April 18 the same year.  The Pioneers begin their season on Feb. 18 at home against Wheeling Jesuit University.
