Here’s what’s happening Wednesday at the West Islip Public Library:
• Parents of Teens with Special Needs Roundtable: 7 p.m.
Teen Librarian Jenn Fowler will lead this meeting to discuss ways the library can provide a place teens with special needs can socialize, build friendships, learn life skills, and more.

• Valentine’s Day Cards: 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
As part of the library’s Enrichment Programs for Children with Special Needs series, the class is for students Kindergarten to grade 6 with a limit of 12 participants. The class allows students to use their creativity to make some Valentine’s Day cards to give to family and friends.

• Blood Pressure Screenings: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This community service is offered through the auspices of Suffolk County Treasurer Angie Carpenter’s office and the Our Lady of Consolation Residence nursing staff.
