The KIC’s junior commissioners come from school districts across the Town of Islip and are recommended by their school principals for having demonstrated environmental concern as well as social, civic and academic responsibility.

“I look forward to another rewarding year of working with West Islip’s junior commissioners,” said Keep Islip Clean executive director Nancy Cochran. “Many adults could learn from the example they set in caring about their community and the environment. I have already worked with many of these students on other KIC projects, and know they’ll really shine this year. Dr. Bridgeman has sent me another good group!”
