Brooklyn Flea, Smorgasburg Will Move to Sunset Park Warehouse for Winter

Not that you need more reminders that NYC winter hell is on the near horizon, but we’ve got some important seasonal news for your slightly-breezier-than-Sunday Monday.

Brooklyn Flea organizers just announced that their famous outdoor flea market and its foodie offshoot, Smorgasburg, will take up winter residency in “super-cool Industry City in Sunset Park” beginning Oct. 17.

Both the markets — which are being held outdoors in Williamsburg, Fort Greene and Prospect Park this summer — will move into a 50,000-square-foot space at 241 37th Street, with views of the Manhattan skyline, organizers said.

It’s a pretty picturesque spot, within clutch walking distance from the D, N and R Trains and one of the best Costcos in the country.

Also within stone’s throw is the new Brooklyn Nets training facility and the super trendy Mister Sunday dance party (whose last party is on Flea/Smorgasburg’s opening weekend).

The market’s new hours will be every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., all the way through March 2016.

As in summer, the winter market will host ”hundreds of top vendors of furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food,” organizers said.

Here’s how to get to the new spot, via Brooklyn Flea.

“The entrance address is 241 37th Street, just two blocks from the 36th Street D/N/R subway station — only two stops from Manhattan on the D train! — and a short walk from the B35, B38 and B70 bus stops. The 39th Street exit off the Gowanus Expressway/BQE also takes you pretty much to our doorstep.”

And here are the final closing dates for all the Flea/Smorgasburg summer events.

• Fort Greene Saturday Flea final date: Sat., Oct. 10.

• Williamsburg/50 Kent Sunday Flea final date: Sun, Sept. 27.

• Williamsburg Saturday Smorgasburg final date: Sat., Nov. 21.

• Prospect Park Sunday Smorgasburg final date: Sun., Oct. 11.

• Smorgasburg Queens final date: Sat., Oct. 31.

And with that, summer breathes its final breaths. Long live summer.
