Brooklyn Shoplifters Return to Scene of Crime: Police

Two shoplifting suspects from Brooklyn eluded arrest until they returned to the same Target in Connecticut where they were wanted.

Two people suspected of shoplifting from Target in Waterford, Conn., were shared on the Waterford Police Department’s Facebook page on Nov. 8, and progress was made in identifying one of the suspects.

“Many of you assisted us and the male in the pictures was identified — thank you,” police said. “We had needed more assistance in identifying the female, and had been unsuccessful until the subjects showed back up at the store to commit another crime.”

According to police, an alert Target loss prevention officer contacted the Waterford Police, who arrested two Brooklyn residents.

Frederick Fielder and Diamond Delvalle, both 22 and of 99 Tapscott St., Brooklun, N.Y., were arrested on the following charges:

  • Interfering with an Officer: Non-Assaultive
  • Illegal Use of Credit Card: Illegal Card/Other Person’s Card
  • Larceny 5th: Shoplifting
  • Identity Theft Third Degree
  • Conspiracy: Discussion/Intent/Act Toward Commission of Crime.

Both were given a Nov. 24 court date and held on bonds of $10,000. According to Waterford police, warrants are pending for the original alleged crimes.
