GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — Would you like to help keep McGolrick Park clean, all while earning fashionable buttons and t-shirts demonstrating your dedication to the green space?
The McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance is hosting three Saturday cleanups this summer, when heavy use leaves the park in need of extra care.

The efforts kick off at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Nassau Avenue and Russell Street, and will take place on July 9, August 13, and Sept. 10. (You can RSVP for any, or all, online.)
And to sweeten the officer, check out these prizes: one volunteer session earns you a "commemorative button," while two sessions gets you a pair of sunglasses.

If you volunteer three times, you get to own the park. Not really — but you do get a McGolrick Park t-shirt. Not a bad deal for spending a few hours in the sunshine.
