NYPD Seek Long Island Man in Penn Station Shooting

The NYPD released surveillance photos Tuesday of two men, including one from Long Island, who are being sought in connection with a deadly shooting near Penn Station Monday morning.

Police believe 27-year-old Vincent Arcona, whose last known address was 2600 Race Avenue in Medford, led three people out of the McDonald’s located at 490 Eighth Ave. before another man wearing a hoodie approached the trio from behind and opened fire, striking all three at 6:14 a.m. inside the A/C/E subway station at West 35th Street and 8th Avenue. A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The two others were taken to the hospital; a 45-year-old man was listed in critical condition and a 48-year-old man was in stable condition.

Prior to the shooting, Arcona, who lists his occupation on Facebook as “street pharmacist,” apparently had told the three victims that they could no longer sell drugs near the McDonald’s, the New York Post reported.

The victims may have been members of a methadone program at the nearby West Midtown Medical Group, according to ABC News.

Arcona is described a 6-feet tall, 300 pounds, with blue eyes. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
