VIDEO: Williamsburg Robber Allegedly Steals $600 From Woman's Purse
Cops are looking for a man they said pushed a woman to the ground in Williamsburg and stole her purse.
WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for a man in connection with a robbery in Williamsburg in January, they said. The suspect attacked a 31-year-old woman from behind at Hooper and S. 1st streets on Jan. 27 at around 4 a.m., pushing her to the ground, police said. The suspect took her purse, which had $600 in it, and fled with it, cops said. The victim suffered bruises to both of her knees, but she chose not to go to the hospital, according to the NYPD.
Cops describe the suspect as a black man in his early twenties, 5-foot-8-inches tall, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a puffy jacket and jeans. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect and is asking anyone with information in regards to this incident to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
