Williamsburg Sephora Could Come To Bedford Ave

Sephora is eyeing the spot next to the Apple Store, according to sources close to the company.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN – Bedford Avenue development enthusiasts could soon be flocking to a new Sephora location next to the Apple Store, at 241 Bedford Ave., according to sources close to the company. The international makeup franchise is in late-stage talks to open up its first store in Williamsburg in the newly fancy strip by Whole Foods, high-end jewelry and fashion boutiques, Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts and the six-month-old Apple Store, sources told the Real Deal.

Sephora is negotiating to take part of the first floor of the building, which is owned by RedSky Capital and Waterbridge Capital, who own the Apple Store's property as well. It was unclear how much space out of the whole property the store would take. The current tenants' lease isn't up until later this year, according to city records.

Sephora so far has one other Brooklyn location on Joralemon Street in Downtown Brooklyn, opened in 2013. It has 13 other Manhattan locations.

A spokesperson for Sephora was also not immediately reached.
