5 Things: See Baohaus Chef Eddie Huang at Greenlight Bookstore

Fun Brooklyn events and opportunities of note to take advantage of today.

1. Something sweet. Now through Sunday, anyone who purchases a box of ten 4-inch pies from Steve's Key Lime Pie will receive a free 8-inch pie (worth $18). Perfect excuse for a Super Bowl dessert pilgrimage! 204 Van Dyke Street, between Conover and Ferris streets. 718-858-5333.

2. Something controversial. Baohaus chef and online provocateur Eddie Huang has added a third hyphenate to his resume: author. Hear him chat about his new memoir Fresh Off The Boat with former New York Times restaurant critic Sam Sifton at Fort Greene's Greenlight Bookstore tonight. 7:30 p.m. 686 Fulton St. Free.

3. Something nostalgic. "Don't turn around and let me down!" Head straight to The Bell House after work tonight and catch 80s ska-reggae-pop band The English Beat perform old hits like "Save It For Later," "Mirror in the Bathroom" and "Hands Off She's Mine" live. 8 p.m. 149 7th St. $25.

4. Something thought-provoking. The exhibit debuted last week and will be up through April 11. Gallery 505, 505 Court St.

5. Something unavoidable. Alternate side parking rules are in effect today. The next suspension is Sun., Feb. 10 for the Asian Lunar New Year.
